Suggested coping strategies for former Tree Style Tab users now using Chrome

  1. Keep less-important tabs to the right on your tab bar and use tab context menu -> 'Close tabs to the right' to close them all at once.
  2. Don't open everything in a new tab; follow the link normally, and if you decide you need the page you arrived from, middle-click the Back button to open the previous page in a new tab.
  3. Make tabs open a predictable order: Tab Position Customizer 2 can make tabs always open to the right of the current tab, instead of sometimes at the end of the tab bar.
  4. Quick Tabs can search open tabs and do MRU tab-switching (like Alt+Tab on your desktop) with a customizable hotkey.
